Emergency Services
Calling LSPD and EMS, what to expect when you meet them, and how to join.
Calling for help
| Command | Who answers |
|---|---|
/911 <message> | Police (emergency) |
/311 <message> | Police (non-emergency) |
/911e <message> | EMS |
Describe what's happening and where. "Shots fired outside the 24/7 on Grove Street, two people down" gets a much better response than "help".
You can also call emergency services from your phone.
Dealing with police
The LSPD is staffed by real players. When you're stopped:
- Stay in character and follow instructions, unless your character has a good reason not to.
- Police can ask for your ID, search you with cause, issue fines and arrest you.
- Serious crimes can lead to time in Bolingbroke Penitentiary. Prison has its own roleplay: jobs, yard time and the occasional escape attempt.
Remember Fear RP: if an officer has a gun on you, your character values their life. See Roleplay Basics.
Dealing with EMS
EMS respond to /911e calls and players who are down. They can revive you, treat injuries, stop bleeding and take you to hospital. Play along: describe your pain, answer their questions and let them do their job. See Health & Death.
Joining LSPD or EMS

Training
If accepted, you go through training before your first shift. Departments have their own SOPs (standard operating procedures) that you'll need to learn.
Being a cop or medic is a commitment. Departments expect regular activity, professionalism and following their SOPs, both in and out of character.
