The Baye Roleplay

Health & Death

Hunger, thirst, injuries, going down, calling EMS and respawning at the hospital.

Hunger and thirst

Your character needs to eat and drink. The bars on your HUD slowly drain over time. When either hits zero, you start losing health.

  • Buy food and drinks at 24/7 stores, restaurants and cafes.
  • Keep a couple of snacks and a water bottle in your hotbar.
  • Restaurants run by players (like UwU Cafe, Little Seoul and Pizza This) often sell better food than the corner store.

Injuries

Damage isn't just a number. The medical system tracks where you're hurt and how:

  • Bleeding drains your health over time until it's treated.
  • Injured limbs affect you. A hurt leg makes you limp; a hurt arm makes aiming harder.
  • Bandages slow bleeding and patch up minor wounds. Painkillers help you push through.

Serious injuries need a doctor. Get to the hospital or call EMS.

Going down

When your health runs out you go down. The death screen shows your pulse, a bleed-out timer and your options.

Call for help

Use Alert EMS on the death screen. This sends your location to on-duty medics. Anyone nearby can also call /911e for you.

Wait and roleplay

Stay in character while you wait. Groan, ask for help, describe your injuries. Medics arriving on scene will treat you and may take you to hospital.

Respawn if no one comes

Once your timer allows it, hold E for 5 seconds to respawn. You wake up in a bed at the nearest hospital and are billed for treatment.

New Life Rule

If you respawn instead of being revived, your character forgets the events that led to going down. You cannot go back for revenge or use what you saw. See Roleplay Basics.

The hospital

Pillbox Hill Medical Center is the main hospital, with others at Paleto Bay and the prison infirmary.

  • Check-in: When fewer than 2 EMS are on duty, you can check yourself in at reception for $2,000 and be treated automatically after about 20 seconds.
  • When enough EMS are on duty, checking in pages them instead, and a real medic treats you.

Being treated by a real medic is always better roleplay than a self check-in. If EMS are on duty, give them the chance.

Killcam

If another player downs you, the death screen shows who did it and what weapon they used. This is so you can report rule-breaking to staff. It is not information your character knows. Using it in-character is metagaming.
